Vlad Manu

Born in Romania, Vlad currently resides in Sydney, Australia. His interest in graphics began in highschool when he was given the opportunity to complete his higher school certificate in design & technology one year early (in year 11). His interest in photography started during a round the world trip in 2000. He has since bough his first digital camera and later joined the popular photo-sharing website Flickr in 2006. What started out as a mere hobby progressed into a passion for photography. In 2010 Vlad was selected as a finalist in the Australian Life - Grab Photo Competition (Getty Images).

Vlad received his Bachelor of Science (Architectural Computing/ Digital Media) degree from the University of New South Wales. During his studies he was exposed to different areas of digital design, photography and information technology. When he’s not manipulating images in photoshop, he enjoys training for long distance running events, planning the purchase of the next photography lens or fine tuning his car detailing skills.
